Some strong procrastination happening here~
Seems like we had a busy day 5! I remember it was really cold by the time we found Bau House (don't worry - I've got directions at the bottom!) and we stayed so long because we didn't really want to brave the winds on the way home.
Bau House is a dog cafe in Hongdae. Similar to the cat cafe,
Cat's Attic, your drink purchase is your entry fee. Drinks cost around 7,500 won and a bag of dog treats was around 4,500 won. The cafe is split by a gate into two sections: the front section having the smaller dogs such as Pomeranians and Sausage dogs, while the back section had larger dogs such as Alaskan Malamute and an Old English Sheepdog. (I hope I got the breeds right T.T)

We spent the beginning in the big dog room, which had little booths for you to sit in. Really we sat there for all of two minutes before jumping up and playing with the dogs. There are cupboard in the walls for you to put your belongings so they don't get wrecked. The dogs literally go everywhere - they were jumping up onto the seats and walking on the countertops. I wouldn't exactly say they were trained that well..

So many dogs! |

Pretty Pretty |

A few of the dogs were already sleep

So I'd recommend coming earlier on during the day |
These beautiful white dogs (Samoyed???) seemed well loved by all the other dogs. There was one in the backroom that the staff brought out for a few minutes, and all the dogs went crazy greeting it. They were never attacked by any of the other dogs and seemed quite content to just sit in a group.

I want a dog |
This great, big Old English would just walk around and plonk it's butt down on a chair. He also seemed to be the top alpha, because every time a fight broke out - he'd walk over and everyone would scamper.

The dog on the left was one of those that stir up fights but can never hold their own |

This one never even came out |
The dogs, uh, did their toilet business everywhere and the poor staff had to keep cleaning it up. Though they do clean very efficiently (and effectively), I wouldn't sit on the floor in retrospect.
Directions: Take the train to Hapjeong Station on Line 2 (green) and Line 6 (brown), and leave via Exit 3. Turn around and turn left at the first road. Continuing down this road, Bau House will be on your right before the end of the block.
