Kyuhyun at Coex Mall - Day 3 - Korea 2014

This day must have been the biggest coincidence. The plan was to get lunch and have a look around Coex Mall, Rodeo St and Hyundai shopping mall if my memory serves correctly.  I had a list of food places I wanted to try out too. We successfully arrived at Coex Mall and wandered around. There were lots of cool shops and many promotions happening,  and we kind of started collecting balloons...  Decided to have lunch at this little buffet place once everyone got hungry.  Not the best buffet but there were a few good dishes and they have us a box of Brownie mix each lol. During lunch, Nicole had been checking her phone and announced that Kyuhyun would be performing at the Coex Artrium (yes.. art-trium) at 9:30pm.

This is how close we were!
We eventually arrived at 4:30pm or so with the aid of directions from a customer informations employee - Oh she struggled with how to direct us there. There were already roughly 20 people there (a few foreigners) waiting dismally in the rain when Nicole and I joined them. Jenny and Xin left to continue shopping and go clubbing later. They took all of our balloons with them ^^.
All the balloons~
After a while,  a line was formed and the security guards came and moved us out of the rain,  and the moved us again - so we weren't blocking the escalators. The line was very organised and every now and then,  people from the head of the line (I'm assuming the fan club president) would go out and bring more people to join the line.

tbh, all my photos are pretty bad :(
Around 8pm, the line moved back into the court yard area and was organised in front of a trailer. We waited there for another 2 hours or so with Kyuhyun's At Gwanghwangmun MV playing over and over again. It was really quite tiring. but then, we were in the front row so I guess it was worth it. Did I mention yet that it was cold and raining the whole time?

poor bb was sick
When Kyuhyun arrived, wew he was amazing live. He interacted with the fans quite a lot, asking questions and giving replies. He'd do these cute movements every now and then too. I remember, he was complaining about being cold (he sounded a little sick) and a fan screamed out that he should put his hands in his pockets - and he started complaining even more, whining that they were fake pockets and tried to show the audience.

still cute
The staff actually handed out parkas for everyone to wear because we were all in the rain, which was quite considerate. The mini-concert ended at around 10pm, and when everyone was leaving, I found a portable charger on the ground. lol its not great but hey, it was free.

In the subway on the way home
All in all, not a bad day. Didn't actually do much - went to a couple shops on the way back but it was a good day :)

faitfaithfully,
Mai
