The Flower Garden at the Gardens by the Bay - Day 4 - Singapore 2014

Dearest readers,
We are currently in the middle of an exam period and I am tired and my head hurts and I'm still posting about events that happened nearly a year ago. Wew hahahha
But hey - I'm ahead of Sheen :P

The second dome that you can enter with your ticket from the Gardens by the Bay - is the Flower Dome. It's really just a massive garden and features plants from different countries. It was early December and many Christmas decorations were up as well. So - let's go ahead with out photo spam!

The Cloud Forest at the Gardens by the Bay - Day 4 - Singapore 2014

When it's Day 4 and you finally do something actually touristy.
Yes.
It wasn't even the whole group! Sheen and I just got up in the morning and left by ourselves. We're a little lazy and we caught the taxi there instead of public transport -  but then - we didn't step on a bus or train at all in Singapore.
Just walking in to the Botanical Gardens was so nice and dlkfjalskdf. Words fail me. Everything was just so open and airy.

There's quite a long walk in and the area is split up into two domes and different sections with lakes and ponds and so on. Sheen and I only went to the two domes - The Cloud Forest and The Flower Dome. So - be this is mini series of a photodrop. Yay. The domes are open 9am-9pm and cost $28 for an adult and $15 for a child.

Orchard Road - Day 3 - Singapore 2014

Right now it's Week 9 of second semester, currently drowning.
I am writing this while in a Colin Pouton lecture at uni, and if that doesn't mean anything to you - please just understand that while he has some cool content, everything is very boring. Very boring.

So I'm not really sure what happened on Day 2, but on the third day in Singapore - we checked out Orchard Rd (our hotel was just off it, so it was quite easy to walk there). I guess it was nearing Christmas which explained all the lights and stars, but Orchard Central had all these unicorn and garden displays. Couldn't really resist taking a photo with them :3
Not looking at the camera..

Little India and .... - Day 1 & 2 - Singapore 2014

Oh my gosh, that feeling when you finally get up to the next country even though it's nearly time to go on the next overseas trip (which I don't think is actually going to happen this year :( but you get the gist. It's been a while).
The first few days... really I don't think we did much.
Caught a flight in the early afternoon (I think) and watched several movies. I actually fell asleep on this trip - and I couldn't get into any of the movies I looked at.
The drive in

Zootopia in Everland - Day 6 - Korea 2014

I'm so sleepy right now. I am writing this on a day where I have 5 lectures and a 2.5 hour workshop and an 1.5 hour dance rehearsal.
Dead and the day is not even done.

The following pictures are from the Zootopia section in Everland. It was a quite hard to take most of these photos because, well - they're animals. They move around and most of the time they're behind a glass window or bars. That glare is the bane of my existence. I try.
Flat out

Safari at Everland - Day 6 - Korea 2014

Hi everyone :)
The next few posts are going to be massive photodrops because.. .well I took a lot of photos of the animals. Everland has this zoo section and a safari ride, where you enter a bus and drive around a compound. The safari features many large cats, bears and other animals like giraffes (however we didn't go very close to those).
So ahem, cue photo drop.

Tiger (most likely Siberian but idk)

Everland - Day 6 - Korea 2014

Hello everyone,
It's been a while but I'll be dropping some posts shortly. These are from Everland, a theme park in Korea. Lotte World is also a popular theme park within Korea, and I'm not exactly sure why we decided to go to Everland. Lotte World is partly indoor and also has water rides, making it great for the summer. The day we went, was also the coldest - getting to -9°C as we were leaving. Tickets for one day entrance were 48,000Won for an adult and 38,000 for a child.

Bau House in Hongdae - Day 5 - Korea 2014

Some strong procrastination happening here~
Seems like we had a busy day 5! I remember it was really cold by the time we found Bau House (don't worry - I've got directions at the bottom!) and we stayed so long because we didn't really want to brave the winds on the way home.

Bau House is a dog cafe in Hongdae. Similar to the cat cafe, Cat's Attic, your drink purchase is your entry fee. Drinks cost around 7,500 won and a bag of dog treats was around 4,500 won. The cafe is split by a gate into two sections: the front section having the smaller dogs such as Pomeranians and Sausage dogs, while the back section had larger dogs such as Alaskan Malamute and an Old English Sheepdog. (I hope I got the breeds right T.T)

Trickeye Museum in Hongdae - Day 5 - Korea 2014

Come one, come all!
Ended up splitting these posts because, well it was a photo spam.
I don't have much to say about these - but I had a lot of fun! If you're not the type of person that enjoys art or cool things or taking pictures or has patience - this might not be the place for you. I pretty much wanted to take a picture with everything. Not everything has been posted though because for some strange reason the pictures won't rotate - so I've only got the landscape pictures ^^

This is the entrance

Ice Museum in Hongdae - Day 5 - Korea 2014

Hello all,

It's been a while. Exams, and Mt Hotham and failing exams and dance and a bunch of uni work ON THE HOLIDAYS (but then again, I signed up for it so I guess its my fault but really. why) -> and I'm finally updating! Honestly, I actually wrote this post during exams but it didn't save. I'm serious. But this is a photo dump anyway because it's dun DUN DUN (insert dramatic music) the Ice Museum and Trick Eye Museum.
And I wish I had my P's. jks.

Ewha Womens' University (in Ewha) and Cat's Attic in Hongdae - Day 4 - Korea 2014

Who even has time to post when exams are right around the corner and you still haven't touched two units...
Dedication.
But this is really a photo drop because there's not heaps to say.

We dropped by Ewha Womens' University and they have a crazy amount of steps. The architecture is really pretty, but it must be so tiring if you have to walk up and down so much every day. Plus, it's a womens' university..
Those are all stairs in the far back. far far back.

Princess Diary Cafe in Ewha - Day 4 - Korea 2014

Princess Diary Cafe is a sweet little cafe in the Ewha area, (known for Ewha Womens' University and the surrounding shopping district). It's not very spacious, and the drinks weren't amazing - but the cafe is quite popular because you are able to dress up in wedding gowns or in traditional hanbok attire. The cafe area was very cutely decorated and I wish I had taken some photos of the decor. The seating areas were separated into tiny houses, just big enough to fit two sofas facing each other and a table. There were even little windows fitted with curtains on the walls.

The way the cafe operates is that you have to order a drink, and you mix and match the jackets and skirts to make your outfit. All the pieces are separated into bags by price, complete outfits starting at around 10,000 won.
Our planned outfits - it took a lot of deliberation, I didn't want to look like a pumpkin

Kyuhyun at Coex Mall - Day 3 - Korea 2014

This day must have been the biggest coincidence. The plan was to get lunch and have a look around Coex Mall, Rodeo St and Hyundai shopping mall if my memory serves correctly.  I had a list of food places I wanted to try out too. We successfully arrived at Coex Mall and wandered around. There were lots of cool shops and many promotions happening,  and we kind of started collecting balloons...  Decided to have lunch at this little buffet place once everyone got hungry.  Not the best buffet but there were a few good dishes and they have us a box of Brownie mix each lol. During lunch, Nicole had been checking her phone and announced that Kyuhyun would be performing at the Coex Artrium (yes.. art-trium) at 9:30pm.

This is how close we were!

Bukchon Hanok Village - Day 2 - Korea 2014

Hello all,
Trying to keep routinely posting, but really, I'm just writing a bunch and time delaying them. But I guess it's better than not posting for four months. Sorry.

Bukchon Hanok Village is an area known for its traditional style houses called hanok. The traditional village contains many alleys and is preserved to show the 600-year-okd urban environment. People currently live in these houses, and as such, the area can only be entered by non-residents between 10am-6pm as to give the residents privacy. This is good because we arrived mid-afternoon and the place was crowded!
We actually went up the wrong alley at first, but at the end there was a sign saying it was the wrong alleyway and had a map with directions on the window of a cafe. The houses, from what we could see - were beautiful and I think I'm becoming a huge fan of their traditional roofing and housing in general.

The wrong alley

So I am completely terrible and haven't even posted anything for Korea OR Singapore...
But I will endeavour to.

This is a photo dump for Alan so he can gush over the Boeing B-52 Stratofortress and meh at all the other planes.
