Orchard Road - Day 3 - Singapore 2014

Right now it's Week 9 of second semester, currently drowning.
I am writing this while in a Colin Pouton lecture at uni, and if that doesn't mean anything to you - please just understand that while he has some cool content, everything is very boring. Very boring.

So I'm not really sure what happened on Day 2, but on the third day in Singapore - we checked out Orchard Rd (our hotel was just off it, so it was quite easy to walk there). I guess it was nearing Christmas which explained all the lights and stars, but Orchard Central had all these unicorn and garden displays. Couldn't really resist taking a photo with them :3
Not looking at the camera..
Found the right camera!
As per usual, we woke up quite late and so only headed out around lunch. We were aiming to check out this Japanese buffet that was popular however when we arrived, I think they had just closed their lunch session and so we'd have to come back for dinner. (Or they didn't have lunch..)

Orchard Central
Much pink
I really have no idea why there was so much pink. But it was pretty. and unicorns :D Everyone like's unicorns, right? They also had a floor piano, but those pictures aren't on my camera :( Floor keyboards might be the coolest thing ever, but then - the sensitivity on them isn't generally that great.

It's so fluffyyyy
We bought extra henna sachets and they went a little crazy one night
We ended up having lunch at a little cafe in Orchard Central, everything looked a lot prettier than it tasted.. but nothing was open by that time. We really spent most of the time just walking in and out of shops. I should really check my diary to see what we got up to - but Singapore was such a chill stop. We really didn't do much.

And the Japanese buffet <3 td="">
When you go to a buffet and all you eat are grapes and icecream
Ok, I actually enjoyed this restaurant a fair amount. It's on one of the top floors in Orchard Central and there was quite a bit of a line. Their seafood options were decent and they had a large variety of Japanese yakitori and other skewers and dishes. We also all tried wasabi ice cream - which wasn't terrible to be honest. I'm one of those people that would try everything once..

By the time we got out, all the lights were on~
And everything was even prettier
purettyyy
Poinsettias
So the walk home was nice and well lit. And the temperature was good (Y) It's warmer in Singapore but since we normally left a bit late, we missed the morning/noon heat.

Oh Christmas tree, oh Christmas tree
So warm
:)
 And that's all,
I think the next few posts are just picture dumps again, you'll see why :)

faithfully,
Mai
