"Schoolies" Part 2 - Hong Kong

Day 7 - Arriving in HK and the Fruit Market

Because Nicole's house had no printer - we were unable to check-in online and by the time we did check-in at the airport, there were no seats together. Thankfully we were close to each other though. It was a shorter flight, enough for me to watch two movies and sleep a little at the start - but there was some really bad turbulence which was really scary.

We stayed at the Royal Plaza Hotel and the taxi ride there was only about 250HKD (and after splitting that between four people, it's roughly 10AUD each - compared to the about 80AUD from Melbourne Airport to my house). We really just spent the rest of the day wondering the area near our hotel. Royal Plaza is attached to a shopping mall, and because the front entrance is under renovation - we entered through the mall. We really didn't spend a lot of time in that mall - just going there to buy breakfast from the bakery and pass through to get to the train stations.

The Fruit Market was about a street away and so we walked through there. There were lots of clothing shops on the sides of the street, but at the stalls there were fruit, phone cases (all iPhone 5 and Galaxy S4 's, so they're pretty up to date - but it was really annoying because I have a Galaxy S3), bags, kid sized clothing, and other usual things. They did not have stalls selling clothes in adult sizes.

Queue the first time we're all sharing one room with one bathroom. We really just spent the night lazing around waiting for the shower, planning out our next day and eating. In Hong Kong, we were definitely sleeping and waking up earlier - it was more tiring because we weren't getting driven everywhere and had to walk and take a lot of public transport.

'Schoolies' Part 1 - Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

After copious planning, I, along with three friends; Xin (xxx), Lucie and Nicole, traveled to Kuala Lumpur and Hong Kong for our after-exam holiday (I suppose you could call it as it was not a traditional schoolies).
The next few following posts will also contain details on the trip.

So we arrived at Melbourne Tullamarine International Airport at about 10pm on Tuesday the 19th of November. Our flight left at 12:45am the next day, and we arrived in KL at about 6:30am local time (3 hours back). Being the type of person to make the best of things, I watched Pacific Rim, 냵ꖵ뼍陁낹鲵뼍陁 (Secretly, Greatly), and I"m sure I watched a third however I can't remember the name. I slept lightly for about 30 minutes as the plane landed.

Christmas Prep.

Finally got our Christmas tree up last night!
and wrapped some presents today - we're slow going, but we're finally there :)

Our tree is pretty tinsel vomit because we take a very relaxed, throw it on, attitude

Making up for birthdays.

So I'll be away for my little brother's birthday, and we didn't celebrate my mum's birthday because I had a whole week of exams ahead - so Saturday night we went out to celebrate - yay! However, my Dad booked the 5 o' Clock session for Melba at the Langham and we didn't leave the house until 6.. Dad still wanted to go to Langham, claiming the hour we'd have left (session finishes at 7:30) would be enough to eat. 'But definitely not enough to enjoy it!' I said. So being the beloved daughter I convinced everyone to find another restaurant. #truth.

going to try that thing called commitment.

If I can, I'd like to start updating this regularly and so on about my life and thoughts of life and all the crazy shit that happens in the world.
But I'm kind of really bad with commitment and don't exactly have an interesting life. So.
I'll try.

On another note, read back through all my posts - deleted a couple but left the majority even though everything is very cringe worthy and obsessive and ohmygod.
So what I learnt about myself through rereading my old posts?:
